Job Description for Data Center Technician

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

-      Physical Set-up of all devices. Responsible for racking all servers and devices throughout the Data Center, including running all cable, power and KVM, and removing all the above when a server is decommissioned.

-      Responsible for all WinTel/Linux servers break/fix throughout the Data Center when hardware failures occur by helping them troubleshoot issues and sending the appropriate hardware in coordination with the Vendor. 

-      Basic operating system installations and server configurations.

-      Proactive Monitoring and recording of facility security, HVAC, Fire Detection and Suppression Systems, Temperature, Humidity and critical power systems.

-      Ensuring that the Data Center is secure at all times.  DC technician will ensure all visitors are signed in and escorted at all times while in the Data Centers.

-      Perform other various misc. operational duties as per the SOP approved by the data center manager

-      Copper (UTP/STP) and Fiber cabling as per the TIA standards (like TIA 942)

-      Preparing the end of shift reports for the data center

-      Willing to work a flexible shift including nights and weekends, and participate in an on call rotation.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

-      Should be able to co-ordinate the day to day activities and preventive maintenance with the facility team and IT staff as per the instructions of the data center manager

-      Should have good experience with communications circuits and Ethernet cabling (structured copper cabling and fiber optic cables)

-      Intermediate knowledge of Windows 2003/2008 and Unix/Linux configuration and troubleshooting.

-      Proficient in MS Office 2003/2007

-      Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical components like Online Double Conversion UPS, medium voltage circuits and chilled water cooled HVAC systems.

-      A+ certification is desired

-      APC infrastructure experience is desired but not required

Documentum Specialist

-      Minimum 3+ Years of experience in EMC Documentum tools administration and development.

-      Strong system administration experience(2+ years) in Documentum suite (on Solaris preferred).

-      Strong Index server and Agent configuration, monitoring and tuning expertise.

-      Strong understanding of Documentum Object Model and expertise in Custom Object Types and Documentum Composer.

-      Working experience on EMC Documentum 6.x products.

-      Strong expertise EMC Content Services for SAP, Documentum Archive Services for SAP and Documentum - SAP integration.

-      Working experience on EMC Content Services for SharePoint.

-      Working experience in WebTop, Documentum Administrator, CenterStage, E-Rooms.

-      Development experience in DFC, DFS coding, DAB, creating DocAPPs, DQL, DAPI and Documentum BPM, Creating workflows. 

-      Development experience in WDK coding, WebTop customization, custom web applications and Advance Search customization.

-      Development experience in Java, DFS to enhance and configure the existing Bulk Upload utility.

-      Experience in installing various Documentum products and knowledge of Documentum application support.

-      Strong development experience in core Java.

-      Working experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL

-      Working experience in JSP, Servlets, JDBC.

-      Performance monitoring and tuning in Weblogic and Apache Tomcat Application servers.

-      Working experience in Solaris.

-      Basic knowledge of High availability in Content Server, Application server and performance monitoring expertise.

-      Working experience in backup and restore mechanisms of entire Documentum suite.

-      Familiarity with Drawing Management Systems like McLaren Enterprise Engineer, Bentley products.

-      Familiarity with Institutional Repositories like DSpace is an advantage.

Captiva Input Accel:

-      Strong working experience in EMC Input Accel fundamentals and Administration.

-      Development experience in EMC Input Accel 5.3 & 6.0

-      Strong expertise in developing processes in Process Developer and Dispatcher modules.

-      Experience in indexing scanned documents from external data sources – e.g any database, SAP reports/dumps etc

-      Ability to support end to end Scanning infrastructure including configuring scanners, drivers etc to work with Input Accel.

-      Prior working experience in end to end Scanning and Indexing project using IA 6.0 including training the scanning unit- end user support is a must.

Java:

-         Working experience on JavaMail on Unix platform

Level (2) Data Network Engineers:

-      CCNP & CCIP with minimum 3years experience in data networks (Route/Switch),

-      Minimum 1years experience in IP/MPLS based networks,

-      Service Provider experience is a plus,

-      Must have excellent operating and troubleshooting experience with IP/MPLS and related technologies,

-      Must have excellent operating and troubleshooting experience with the following Cisco products:

-     Routers (7200, 7600) Series.

-     Switches (6500, 4500, 3750, 3560, 2960)

-      Must have excellent technical knowledge with the following technologies and protocols:

-         VTP, Spanning-Tree (PVTS+ and MST), PVLANs,

-         Routing Protocols (ISIS, OSPF and BGP) and PBRs,

-         L2/L3 MPLS VPNs,

-         Multicast (Multicast-VPN),

-         MPLS Traffic Engineering and FRR,

-         Control Plane Policing (CoPP),

-         Quality of Service (QoS)

-         Storm Control, DHCP snooping, 802.1x, HA (HSRP), AAA,

-         ACLs, Prefix-lists, Route-maps

-      Must have excellent communication skills, writing skills, and the ability to work with team members at all levels.

Web Application Developer

Job description:

Primary responsibilities would include the following:

-      Develop and Enhance System User Interface utilizing AJAX, JQuery, ASP.NET, etc.

-      Create Data Model Artifacts utilizing Entity Relationship, and/or Class Diagrams

-      Develop and test relational database tables and SQL queries and DML and ASP.NET code

-      Develop necessary documentation, reports, and presentations

Core skills should include the following:

-      Enterprise-level N-tier web application development using ASP.NET

-      Web 2.0 User Interface

-      Web application security

-      Application tuning and performance monitoring.

-      Team-based development

-      Full life-cycle development
