Property & Casualty Risk Engineer

A leading insurance company located in Riyadh-Saudi Arabia looking for candidates can fill in the following position:

  1-Property & Casualty Risk Engineer

-Providing risk improvement consultation to commercial customers to positively impact their loss ratio and deliver value that influences their insurance buying decision.  A key expectation for this position will be the successful execution on-site visits of existing and prospective customers will be conducted and comprehensive reports will be completed that evaluate hazards and controls for adequate risk selection, pricing, and application of underwriting techniques leading to profitable growth.  In addition, the delivery of consultative based servicing and risk engineering services to clients will be required.  The territory encompasses the various cities & provinces of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  Position may require minimal overnight travel to complete surveys in the outer territories or for training activities.

-Day to day activities include scheduling visitation, conducting evaluative risk surveys, development of client service engagement, the processing of client correspondence and inquiries, report completion and recommendation follow-up as necessary, training of less experienced staff (both loss control and underwriting), as well as coordination with claims and underwriting partners to insure consistent satisfactory risk selection, retention and exceeding service expectations.

-Technical Skills:
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 - 5 years progressive experience in property, casualty and engineering (mainly Contractors All Risks & Erection All Risks) insurance risk control and loss prevention functions, primarily focused on evaluating hazards and controls. This position is responsible for counseling existing commercial insurance customers in risk improvement. Candidate must have a sound proficiency in property and casualty loss control skills, with an emphasis on property protection.

-Knowledge and skills required:
Candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of the following areas: Coverage's including Property construction, protection and exposures, Business interruption exposures and controls,  industrial hygiene exposures and controls, and controls, Interview techniques and technical report writing. Experience with large account coordination is a plus.

-Candidate needs to have excellent communication skills (both written and oral), initiative, time management and ability to function both independently and as an integral member of the client service team are essential core competencies. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat and a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required. 

-Education:
Four-year college degree with major in sciences or engineering preferred. Possessing relevant professional designations or certifications such as CFPS or ARM is highly desirable.
