JOB  VACANCY

A leading hospital In UAE is seeking to recruit the following:

Director of Nutrition and Dietetics (NADS)

Detailed duties for the position

ü Develop and manage the implementation of the HSMC Nutrition and Dietetics strategy

ü Manage implementation of the HSMC Food and Hydration Policy and advise the military on contractual changes to facilitate this implementation

ü Ensure procedures for recipe analysis and kitchen audits are developed and implemented at all centres

ü Oversee the implementation of the HSMC generic food labelling system

ü Oversee the improvement of food safety standards in all satellite Units

ü Establish and supervise the development of weight management and dietetic clinics in all satellite Units

ü Develop and implement a program for initial and ongoing staff training for all NADS staff

ü Oversee the implementation of nutrition education through lectures and campaigns in satellite Units in conjunction with the Director of Health Education

ü Review and develop standards for nutrition in a range of active duty situations

ü Review literature on a regular basis to ensure that policies and guidelines are aligned with current best practice and are evidence based

ü Design and implement a sports/military nutrition program as per the military’s requirements

ü Design and carry out nutrition related research as and when required to better improve the health of military personnel

Education and training:

ü Minimum of a Masters qualification in Nutrition / Dietetics

ü Understanding and experience in working with menu analysis programs

ü Clinical experience beneficial

ü Fluent in English, knowledge of Arabic beneficial

ü 10 years relevant experience, including upper management experience
