JOB VACANCY

Governmental company in Oman - Salalah seeks to recruit highly motivated and suitably qualified candidates for the following positions;

EDITOR

-  Editing, Writing & Editorial Management – responsible for maintaining editorial standards and style guidelines on all products and ensuring all aspects of each project meet standards and intended scope.

-  Editing – in charge of editing for quality, accuracy and clarity.

-  Project/Production Management – ensure project budgets and schedules are being adhered to and resources are being optimized and utilized in the most efficient manner; establish deadlines and production schedules and coordinate production of several products simultaneously in conjunction with the Production Control Manager; oversee the publication process of specific projects.

Required Qualifications:

-  Minimum of Bachelors Degree, ideally in Journalism, Media, English or related discipline.

-  Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior editorial role; OR

-  10 years of experience in editorial role.

-  Software skills: InDesign &InCopy.

-  Excellent command of grammar, spelling and various writing styles.

-  Priority will be given to candidates with travel & tourism-related content experience.

-  Bilingual: Arabic & English.

Graphic Designer

-  To work closely with the Marketing team in the development, implementation and delivery of tactical sales and marketing material, corporate brand and communication tools.

-  Responsible for generating creative design ideas, developing visual communication concepts, images, graphics, art direction and production oversight.

-  Assist in translating marketing briefs into creative communication and campaign concepts, and design executions across offline and online marketing channels, across multiple design packages (e.g. InDesign and Flash)

Required Qualifications:

-  Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or design related degree.

-  Minimum of 5 years of experience in a graphic design role or related disciplines with a larger B2B corporation or service industry or communications / advertising agency.

-  Software skills: Dreamweaver, Flash, Apple Keynote, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel.

-  Strong design style and ‘solution’ driven creative skills, with a flair for art direction, photography and animation.

-  Ability to multi-task, work to deadlines with excellent attention to detail and effective time management and personal organizational skills.

-  Bilingual: Arabic & English.
