JOB VACANCY

A Governmental Company in KSA is seeking to recruit the following:

Metallurgical Specialist

10-15 years of experience in a power utility and/or manufacturing/maintenance services with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in welding/NDE. Experience in a large Power Utility a big plus but not essential.

The incumbent shall possess extensive experience, aptitude and proven track record in the following areas:

Providing expertise and consulting services in the area of metallurgy, welding, heat treatment and NDT&E techniques.

Inspection and troubleshooting of equipment failures, structural failures, pressure-part failures; analyzing test results and recommending proper repairs.

Developing and adopting benchmarks for various plant maintenance activities based on industry standards.

Developing Quality assurance / monitoring standards and procedures for all metal repairs and post-repair testing.

Developing Welding procedures and Manual.

Qualifying and code-certifying welders and NDT technicians.

Erection, Inspection, Repairs of pressure vessels and piping.

Must possess in-depth knowledge of related industry standards and practices in the area of Metallurgy, Welding, and all NDT&E techniques, such as ASME, ASTM, ANSI, DIN, etc.

Familiarity with O&M of all major equipment in a Power Plant (gas turbine, steam, and combined cycle)

Level-II certification in welding, NDE and/or metallurgical testing/examination is very desirable.

Excellent report writing and communication skills.

Good experience & knowledge of plant maintenance procedures.

PC, LAN/WAN skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, M.S. preferred. Must possess certification in metallurgy related subjects.
