JOB VACANCY

A Leading Company in UAE- Abu Dhabi is seeking to recruit the following

JPP Coordinator

Closing Date : 29.11.2015

 

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

- In liaison with the Company HQ, Refinery and the Training & Career Development Department, coordinates all the Job Performance Profile (JPP) programs and implementation activities for all site personnel in order to improve the competence and effectiveness of all of the organisation's human resources and support the achievement of Company’s business objectives.

 

DESCRIPTION

- Participates in the development of Company’s annual competency development initiatives and training plan by assisting line personnel. Reviews, analyses and evaluates proposed competency-focused training courses to ensure the courses are in line with the over-all competency programs and support the organizational operational / technical training objectives and requirements.

- Supports the implementation of plans in the site as per set timelines and quality standards in order to achieve the required skill levels in all organizational functions.

- Participates in and reports to Section Head regarding training and competency development programme activities.

- Contributes to the development, implementation and regular review of the competency development programmes and training implementation procedures to ensure consistent & systematic application of best practices and to improve plant performance.

- Reviews/updates competency training information and provides recommendations on the learning resources or documents such as training material, Operation Manuals, technical drawings, operation / technical procedures etc. that are required by the staff in order to ensure successful execution of the JPPs and competency training programs.

- Conducts interviews of Company site staff related to competency assessment processes and assists the line to prepare individual assessment reports to support management decision-making and facilitate effective tracking of progress.

- Coordinates the implementation of the JPPs at sites in line with accepted company procedures ensuring the effective application of the documents relative to competency gap analyses and recruitment processes.

- Ensures all venues, materials, trainers, training aids and associated functions are organized and available to meet the planned JPP orientation programs and training activities.

- Coordinates with Head Quarters and RR/ADRD departments to prepare the relevant Job Performance Profile programmes, implementation schedules/guidelines and follows up and recommends corrective action for effective implementation.

- Monitors and identifies progress of all JPP initiatives, to ensure compliance with established timelines, and recommends corrective action when progress does not meet set time frames.

- Assists the JPP Specialist in coordinating site visit logistics, development activities and programs relative to JPP workshops, meetings and verification processes.

- Liaises with JPP Specialist and line supervision in soliciting data and input in formulating interview questionnaires and training alignment required in developing JPP application documents.

- Coordinates with concerned ADNOC companies on competency systems and programs similar to Company’s JPP as part of sharing learning experiences and benefits.

- Coordinates with Training & Career Development Department for all competency programs related to training courses for all disciplines.

- Participates in various meetings organised by Company, ADNOC Group etc to

- discuss issues related to competency programmes and initiates actions to facilitate achievement of desired results.

- Assists the site personnel in the performance review process of JPPs by advising on accurate and timely application of JPP Evaluation Form in order to ensure comprehensive capturing of individual training requirements.

- Participates in the evaluation of internal, external and vendor competency training courses for effectiveness and quality and provides feedback to the Section Head.

- Supports the assessment process for line staff ensuring adherence to COMPANY procedures.

- Participates in the evaluation of internal, external and vendor instructors/consultants and training material subject matter, and strives to meet the requirements of the identified training needs.

- Coordinates with line supervisors to identify staff in need of assistance on JPP applications and provides counselling and mentoring services to facilitate achievement of desired results and motivation levels.

- Provides inputs and suggestions for the continuous improvement of competency training practices taking into account ‘best practice’, international standards to improve efficiency & effectiveness and changes in business environment.

- Participates in the review of the JPP competency programs periodically and participates in making any revision of the same as required by sites/Head Quarters to facilitate continuous improvement of programs.

- Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls in his area of work to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

- Enforces the implementation of Company Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSE-MS) and promotes awareness of its use among all site personnel.

- Prepares periodic progress reports on sectional activity to keep management informed about the progress of all JPP initiatives and to facilitate decision making.

 

Minimum Job Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.

- 8 years’ training experience, preferably in the oil & gas industry with at least 2 years in the competency based training activities.

- In-depth knowledge of the Company operations.

- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

- Counseling and mentoring skills Fluent in English language written and spoken.

- Knowledge of Arabic language is preferable & Computer proficiency
