Leading Company in UAE – Abu Dhabi is seeking to recruit the following :

JPP Specialist

Closing Date : 28.11.2015

Job Purpose

- Assist the Competency Section Head in areas pertaining to the development, applications and implementation of Job Performance Profiles (JPPs) for Company in line with the business requirements and global best practices to facilitate skill development of the workforce and support the development of a performance driven culture in the organisation.

- Recommends improvement measures on staff training and development processes and procedures in adherence with the job requirements and performance standards.

- Recommends improvements to the competency development policies, procedures and practices in line with best fitting global best practices to support the achievement of department objectives

- .Partners with business leadership to develop and establish job performance profile model within the organization to promote employee capability in line with Company’strategic initiatives.

- Liaises with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from various functions in a collaborative analysis and finalization of Job Performance Profiles for the company.

- Manages the integration of job roles and responsibilities with the competency standards requirements by identifying the behavioural indicators required to be manifested at work to ensure a measurable standard for a competent work performance.

- Designs and develops a system to align the job behavioural competency requirements with the training needs analysis and to highlight development gaps requiring appropriate intervention.

- Liaises with line management to determine and recommend a matrix of training courses and on-the-job training platform suited to address identified competency gaps leading to efficient job performance.

- Designs and develops a set of interview questionnaires as an effective recruitment instrument to support a structured interview system by focusing on specific areas of competencies required by the job.

- Provides guidance to line management and determine job performance competency assessment and implementation schedules to facilitate achievement of skill levels required for Company operations.

- Guides and advises on the design and implementation of JPPs for each division, whilst contributing to the analyses of programme outcomes and making revisions accordingly to continuously improve the programmes in line with business requirements.

- Contributes to the preparation of the Training and Career Development department budget and facilitates the effective monitoring of activities to ensure adherence to defined budgets.

- Develops and tracks the implementation of Job Performance Profiles for all divisions in accordance with Company’s staff competency performance requirements.

- Organizes review of JPPs and its application documents and communicates feedback to management so as to ensure relevance of the profiles to meet Company’s needs.

- Solicits feedback from the stakeholders regarding the use and application of the JPP and initiates, develops and recommends modifications for improvement in the attainment of HR Overall Performance Objectives.

- Maintains strong relationships with business leaders across Company and serves as an internal consultant to leaders on issues related to competency development in order to promote a learning culture within Company and achieve the section strategy.

- Participates in areas of counselling and coaching Company employees to increase organizational effectiveness and performance.

- Participates in the development and implementation of a career development and identification of high potential UAE nationals for Company in order to ensure the development of suitable high potential and successor candidates for all key positions to facilitate business continuity in accord to Company’s strategic initiatives.

- Develops and maintains effective business relationships with all relevant internal departments and external entities such as ADNOC Group counterparts, consultants, local & government authorities etc. with highest standards of business ethics, whilst promptly attending to all critical issues in order to ensure the services required by the organization are delivered in the most effective manner.

- Provides guidance and advice on selection and negotiations with vendors for training services related to competency and job performance development in order to obtain the optimum return on investment (ROI) from programmes.

- Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of competency development systems via applications of JPPs, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

- Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls in his area of work to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

- Enforces the implementation of Company Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSE-MS) and promotes awareness of its use among all site personnel.

- Prepares departmental statements and reports on job performance profile & competency development, JPP completion reports of divisions, etc timely and

 

Minimum Job Requirements

- Bachelor degree in Engineering with a qualification in HR development or equivalent.

- 10 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry with at least 5 years in the competency based training activities.

- In-depth knowledge of the Company operations.

- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

- Counselling and mentoring skills

- Fluent in English language both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic languages preferable.

-  Good project management skills
