Senior Financial and Economic Analyst - Generation

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• MBA or relevant certification in the field of business or finance

Experience

 

• Minimum twenty (20) years' experience in a technical planning function in a utility.
• At least 5 years of experience in the Electric Utility field.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong financial and economical skills (modelling, estimating, forecasting).
• Knowledge of business case analysis and economic evaluation of capital expenditure projects in a utility.
• Analytical capabilities (awareness of alternate resource options, logical problem solving).
• Broad understanding of operations, components and equipment of utility assets.
• High proficiency with MS Excel incl. design/tailoring of complex cash flow models.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and organize work according to deadlines.
• Working level proficiency in English.

DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

 

• Develop a comprehensive and flexible model for conducting economic evaluations of generation projects to be used by project proponents.
• Ability to gather and analyze economic data and present findings.
• Develop and Conduct training programsfor junior analysts.
• Assist SEC in their Stage-Gate implementation for evaluation and approval of capital projects.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering.
