Urgent

(1) Position:  Manager – Materials Planning and Control

1. 1.Job Profile/Key Responsibilities :

• Manage and Administer the  complete process of Materials Planning & Control activities of the Group Company & the Operating Business Units which includes but not limited to the following:

1. a.Receive and analyze forecasts from Sales and provide all required information/data to Strategic Sourcing Team to enable efficient sourcing activities
2. b.Consistently follow up with the procurement and Logistics Teams for updating the production/sales about the arrival of planned materials in time.
3. c.Participate in the Smart Purchase Team activities and item development activities and contribute for the success of the team efforts
4. d.Supervise the jobs of the Section head and materials planners of the OBU s
5. e.Ensure reliable and firm planning parameters, item attributes etc. are maintained in the ERP System and the MRP suggestions are validated for effective planning.
6. f.Extend support to Production Planning and Sales Services to fulfill the Operations commitments to Sales
7. g.Ensure that the “Demand and Operations Planning” process and the Forecast Process are aligned with maintaining timely supply of raw materials and components to production schedule and sales commitments.
8. h.Ensure that theand other KPIs are met
9. i.To ensure that the Operating Procedures are met and continuously evaluated for incorporation of improvements
10. j.Maintain on a regular basis Items/Categories of Critical parts and coordinate with procurement, Engineering and production planning wings to ensure required action plans are executed to avoid stock outs or building up of excess inventory
11. k.Review aging of inventory and take timely action to avoid redundant/obsolete inventory by finding out alternate usage and/or initiating appropriate disposal programs
12. l.Ensure building up of appropriate KPIs for all the positions and evaluating the performance against Targets.
13. 2.Educational Background:
    1. a.Academic : Engineering Graduate preferable in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
    2. b.Professional : Specialization in Materials Management or Advanced Planning
    3. 3.Industry Experience :
       1. a.Must have good experience in any of the Engineering Industries (Manufacturing)
       2. b.Minimum 10 years of which at least 5 years should be in a Managerial capacity in manufacturing industry
       3. c.Experience in Lighting Fixtures manufacturing Industry will be considered as a real added advantage
       4. d.Good working knowledge of MRP Systems in any Engineering Industry.
       5. 4.Age :
          1. a.Should be in the age group of 35 to 40 years

1. 5.Other Skills Required:
   1. a.Language : Excellent oral and written communication skill in English
   2. b.Personality: Acceptable personality
   3. c.Leadership : Excellent leadership quality & interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multi-national multilingual work force
   4. d.ERP Knowledge: Working knowledge in MRP system in any ERP such as Oracle, SAP, BaaN or the like ones.
   5. e.MS Office and other IT Skills : Must be well versed with advance features of Excel and good working knowledge of other MS Office tools
   6. f.Able to work independently and meet dead lines fixed
