Distribution Network Operator

Minimum Qualifications: Diploma Electrical Engineering, with 6 years experience in related field

Nationality: Asian

Nature of duties and experience required:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in performing of switching operations for 33-69 kV Main Distribution Equipment such as transformers, Busbars, Lines, switches etc.
• Issuing Work permits, tags and clearances and familiarized with their procedures.
• Effective communication abilities through direct contact, writing, or via radio or telephone to coordinate his activities with Power Dispatchers and field personnel.
• Preparation and processing equipment outages and coordination with Power Dispatch schedulers.
• Perform equipment switching out operations and restoring for equipment maintenance and projects.
• Respond to emergencies and customer calls to normalize power supply to affected areas.
• Load transfer of feeders from one substation to another as per the contingency and load limits.
• Inspection of substation equipment and transmission lines and reporting abnormalities and alarms. Preparation of inspection reports.
• Able to read single line drawings and understand substation configuration.
• Follow company emergency blackout restoration procedures.
• Conduct safety meetings with his crew and compliance with approved safety practices.
• Undertake more independent work to inspect operational aspects of equipment before commissioning.
• Self Development and Training subordinates
• PC user, familiar with MS office tools Word, Excel, Access etc.
• Driving license is essential to drive company vehicle during the job.
• Good command of written and verbal English language.
